Quartz Welcomes Vice President, Product Management

Quartz announced today that Brian Collien will join Quartz as Vice President, Product Management. In the new role, Collien will be responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of each of Quartz’s product lines. Collien previously served for two decades at Quartz, culminating in his last role as Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer, with oversight over business and network development.

“I’m honored to welcome Brian back to the Quartz leadership team,” said Christine Senty, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, Quartz. “Brian has been a trusted partner with our network of providers, brokers, employers, and many other stakeholders. I’m confident that Brian will be instrumental in helping Quartz deliver programs focused on health improvement, affordability, and a superior experience for our members.”

“I look forward to working hand in hand with Brian to grow and expand Quartz’s services and product offerings to best meet the needs of our members and communities we serve,” added Christina Ott, Chief Growth Officer, who will continue to lead Quartz’s sales, marketing, and customer experience efforts as she expands her oversight of the organization’s strategic growth objectives.

Collien brings 30 years of experience in the health care industry, extensive managed care expertise, and a deep understanding of Quartz’s core markets. Prior to the new role at Quartz, Collien worked with Guidehouse Health, advising a national health system on managed care negotiations, including the development of market analysis, benchmarking, negotiation strategy, and value proposition. He has extensive experience in leading through change and creating a culture that values diversity, functions as a team, and produces measurable results with a high level of engagement.

“I’m excited to be returning to the outstanding leadership team at Quartz,” Collien said. “It’s an honor to be part of a company that is truly dedicated to putting our customers at the center of everything we do and achieving remarkable results for the members we serve. I look forward to working in partnership with our provider sponsors to develop innovative product offerings to help our members and communities create a life well-lived.”

Collien is committed to giving back to his community; he recently led the Board of Directors of Access Community Health Centers, a Madison-based non-profit with the mission of improving the health and lives of people who otherwise face financial, cultural, or language obstacles that prevent access to high-quality, affordable health care.
