At Quartz, we ensure our members have accurate information about our providers. To accomplish this, we use several ways to collect this information.
- Our credentialing process changed late in 2023, and we now utilize CAQH profiles.
- If you maintain your information in NPPES (National Plan & Provider Enumeration System), it might be time to review, update, and certify existing provider information within NPPES. Updating NPPES is another resource Quartz uses to improve our provider directory reliability and accuracy, and helps us decrease the outreach we do to our contracted providers. As a reminder, providers are legally required to keep this data current.
- As of January 1, 2024, Medicare expanded provider enrollment to include Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors. Learn more here.
- Quartz requests timely notification of significant changes within your organization so that we can ensure accurate claims processing, notification to providers and members, and continuity of care processes.
