Understanding your Networks
Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Quartz will have four new networks – Quartz One Achieve, Quartz One Achieve Plus, Quartz Gundersen Performance and Tiered Choice Plus Achieve. To determine if you participate in these or any Quartz networks, please reference our online provider directory, Find a Doctor. Search for your location, by viewing your profile you can see plans accepted. If discrepancies are found, please refer to page 70 in the Provider Manual to update Quartz accordingly.
Health Equity Tools
Health Equity Provider Tools are offered on our website. This includes the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards, well as other cultural competency training materials and resources to enhance your understanding of health equity, improve quality, and help eliminate health care disparities.
Language Resources
We have multiple options for language resources available to providers, including the “I Speak” card. If a provider does not have an interpreter service to facilitate health care and services, we have a free interpreter service line specific for providers to use while rendering care to a Quartz member. The member must be present prior to making the call. You will need to indicate their language, member’s name, and Quartz employer group. Call (844) 447-1581 to use our free interpreter service line.
Quartz collects language preferences for both providers and members based on the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Standards. If providers elect to share their language preference, it can be found under their name in Find a Doctor. Use My Quartz Tools to locate the members’ language preference. In addition, Quartz shares the Medicaid BadgerCare/SSI membership language spoken by county and can be found within the Health Equity Provider Tools. You are encouraged to go through the training to ensure interactions with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) members is a positive experience.
Member Rights and Responsibilities
Quartz’s Member Rights and Responsibilities Statement shows our commitment to a mutually respectful relationship with our members and practitioners. The statement assures members that we respect their rights and communicates our expectations of the members’ responsibilities.
Provider Access Standards
Quartz Provider Access Standards and after-hours statement details the standards we must adhere to by government and state agencies to sell insurance products in your area. As a contracted provider you are required to adhere to these standards and respond to surveys related to the questions. This will make certain we have accurate data to display in Find a Doctor and ensure a positive member experience.
Shared Decision Making
Shared decision-making is the collaboration between patients and their practitioners to agree to a healthcare decision. It is especially useful when there is no clear “best” treatment option. We encourage health practitioners to use shared decision-making methods with patients. We provide interactive tools on our website with a variety of topics that include all Quartz products.
