External Quality Standards
Quartz continually monitors and evaluates its performance against rigorous national and regional standards through the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). NCQA is dedicated to improving health care quality, and it accomplishes this in three ways:
- NCQA Accreditation — a complete review of our clinical and administrative processes; this accreditation shows that we deliver superior service
- Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) — a tool that gives scores on health plans based on standardized clinical measures; it helps customers compare plans using the same measures
- Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®)* — a survey of health plan customers; the survey asks questions about customer service, getting care, and claims processing
