Quartz has a vision for a future where well-living is always within reach for all our communities.

Quartz knows that our local roots and connections with our neighbors are what set us apart. We do more than just provide access to health care. We’re part of our communities, and know we only succeed if our communities succeed. That’s why Quartz is proud to participate in a variety of community engagement activities to give back, so our communities shine brighter.

At Quartz, our community engagement efforts are aimed at achieving goals that align with our mission, vision, and values. We believe we can have the greatest impact on our communities when we participate in activities that align with our strategic objectives.

Connection

Quartz knows that our strong ties to the communities we serve are what make us different from other health plans. Participating in local activities and events allows us to engage with these communities and spread awareness about our mission to bring well-living to more of our neighbors.

Improving health outcomes

Quartz believes in offering health plans that cover the whole person. That means going beyond simply providing access to treatment when someone gets sick. We want to empower our members to take control of their health today and proactively take on the challenges of tomorrow. That’s why we’re focused on supporting activities that enable our members to make the most of life and enhance their overall health.

DEI&B

Quartz believes in a future where well-living is always within reach for everyone in our communities. We also know that some of our neighbors face social determinants of health that can present barriers to positive health outcomes. That’s why we uphold more significant health equity and ensure that every individual has the opportunity to live a life well-lived.

Our community impact​


Quartz has established criteria to ensure our support aligns with our key organizational strategic priorities for community health. We target our support towards programs that best help our members and communities to create a life well-lived through prevention and early intervention in focus areas, including:

  • Cardiovascular health and heart disease
  • Behavioral health and mental well-being
  • Maternal and infant health
  • Diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity

To ensure everyone has a fair chance to be healthy, we focus on programs and services that can help people stay healthy, no matter where they come from. Some of these include:

  • Hunger and food insecurity
  • Vaccinations and preventive care
  • Provision of health services to underserved populations

By aligning our efforts towards these focus areas, we help ensure that Quartz has the greatest possible impact on the members and communities we serve.

Quartz is proud to support the communities in which we live and work. We believe in hands-on activities that allow our leaders and employees to engage with our neighbors and organizations, making a difference in our communities.

  • Volunteerism: Strong communities are built upon the shoulders of caring, thoughtful, and action-oriented volunteers and companies who support those efforts. Quartz has a generous policy that pays employees for volunteer activities during regular work hours. Our employees volunteer at a range of organizations throughout our service area. 
  • Sponsorships: Quartz supports non-profit organizations and community events that align with our clinical and population health initiatives. Attendance at community events presents a key opportunity for Quartz leaders and employees to connect with our communities. 
  • Donation drives and other charitable activities: Quartz is proud to have a workforce that is just as committed to the communities we serve as our organization. Quartz employees participate in donation drives and other charity activities that align with our community support initiatives. We directly support these efforts through corporate employee match campaigns for key non-profit partners.

Community support requests

To request Quartz’s support for your event or organization, please complete the Community Support Request form. You can use the form to request a sponsorship for your event or activity, volunteers for your event or organization, participation in a donation drive or other charity activity, or other types of corporate support.

Requests for support will be evaluated against our established community engagement eligibility criteria. Click the link to access the form and view the full criteria.
