Quartz and Advocate Aurora Health Partner
Health plans in 15 eastern counties
This new partnership builds on that relationship, bringing more choice and access to health care for individuals and families who purchase their own health insurance.
Bringing together two Wisconsin leaders to launch 2022 plans will make health care more accessible and affordable for individuals and families.
Madison, Wisconsin – Quartz and Advocate Aurora Health are partnering to launch HMO health plans for individuals and families in 15 eastern Wisconsin counties for 2022.
As two prominent health care organizations in the state, Quartz, and Advocate Aurora Health have an existing partnership with a Medicare Advantage HMO plan. This new partnership builds on that relationship, bringing more choice and access to health care for individuals and families who purchase their own health insurance.
“By expanding our partnership with Advocate Aurora Health, we’re bringing accessible, high-quality health care to more of our neighbors in Wisconsin,” said Quartz President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Selna, M.D. “Bringing individual and family plans to 15 new counties gives people who purchase their own health insurance more choices to meet their needs and budgets. We’re extending the care, coverage, and connections that make our communities healthier.”
“Building on our successful collaboration with Quartz helps us reach more patients and help more people live well,” Advocate Aurora Health Chief Business Development Officer Rick Klein said. “Our scale means that people who select these plans will have access to our superior selection of providers and specialists, who will ensure they get the highest-quality care possible.”
The two organizations are also expanding their current Medicare Advantage HMO plan offering into an additional six counties in 2022 – increasing access for more than 80,000 Medicare-eligible individuals in eastern Wisconsin. The Quartz Medicare Advantage HMO plan has the highest rating of 5 out of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the 2021 plan year for the ninth time.
Quartz is in the process of seeking all necessary regulatory approvals for these health plan offerings for 2022. Individual and family plans will start to become available during annual open enrollment beginning Nov 1. Plans take effect on Jan. 1. The Medicare Advantage HMO will be available again during Medicare’s annual open enrollment period, Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, and plans take effect Jan. 1.
