  • Are available at varying costs, with some including a $0 deductible

  • Cover drugs approved for Medicare Part D, including insulin and vaccines

Understanding your drug costs

Quartz Medicare Advantage has a list of all covered drugs, called a Part D formulary. This organizes medications into six tiers of costs:

Tier 1

Lower-cost, commonly used generic drugs

 Tier 2

Generic
Higher cost level for generic drugs

Tier 3

Preferred brands
Brand drugs and higher cost generic drugs and insulin

Tier 4

Non-preferred
Highest cost level for brand and generic drugs

Tier 5

Specialty
High-cost, including some injectable drugs

Tier 6

Select Care Drugs
Low-cost medications that treat diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other conditions

How to check your drug costs

To see what your prescription drugs may cost with a Quartz Medicare Advantage plan, take a moment to search our Part D formulary. Costs will depend on your drug’s tier level.
