Journey Mental Health Center Update
Effective January 1, 2020, Journey Mental Health Center will no longer be the exclusive behavioral health provider for BadgerCare Plus Members in Dane County. Journey will make up the largest percentage of our BadgerCare Plus network, but the network will now be open to other providers who have BadgerCare Plus in their contract agreements. For those complex patients, Journey will also continue case management.
Colonoscopy Reminder
Providers requiring members to undergo an exam 30 days prior to the colonoscopy to fulfill Joint Commission safety requirements: the procedure is not covered and not billable. If claims are received with this E&M they will automatically be denied by the system.
Primary Care Clinic versus Primary Care Provider
In the past, Quartz has required our members to select a primary care provider (PCP), which would show on their ID card. Now we are asking members to name a primary care clinic (PCC). Members who don’t make a selection will be assigned to a clinic near their home, and the clinic name will appear on their ID card as their PCC.
