The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends that adults age 50 and older be screened for colorectal cancer.
People who have an increased risk of developing colorectal cancer may be recommended by their practitioner to begin screening earlier than age 50. In these cases, the service would be subject to copayments and according to their health plan’s benefits.
