Quartz announced today that Asif Mujahid has joined the Quartz leadership team as Chief Data Officer. Asif is an accomplished leader in Data, Analytics, and AI, with an extensive background in payer and provider analytics. His expertise spans the entire analytics lifecycle, including data engineering, analytics, and predictive modeling. Throughout his career, Asif has consistently transformed complex data into actionable insights, driving organizational growth, enhancing financial resilience, and improving patient engagement.

Asif’s diverse background includes building analytical solutions within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and Airlines industries early in his career, before making a significant impact in the health care sector. At UnitedHealth Group (Optum), he played a pivotal role in the company’s data and analytics evolution. At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Asif was instrumental in developing innovative solutions that positively impacted the community and advanced the payer’s value-based care initiatives.
In his most recent role before joining Quartz Health, Asif worked for Vizient, a prominent health care performance improvement company servicing provider groups and health systems. There, he developed cutting-edge solutions to identify risks and opportunities related to provider and health system clinical operations, growth, and care delivery. His work at Vizient underscored his commitment to leveraging data and analytics to drive performance improvements in the health care industry.
