During open enrollment, it’s easy to apply for health insurance. This year, open enrollment is November 1, 2017 – December 15, 2017. Open enrollment is the only time you can apply for health insurance unless you have a qualifying event (such as getting married or having a baby).
The four main options to apply for health insurance in Wisconsin are –

Call the federal Health Insurance Marketplace at 800.318.2596, or you can call a health insurance company directly. Unity’s friendly and knowledgeable customer service staff are standing by at 608.644.3430 (Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- By Mail
You may go to the Health Insurance Marketplace and download a paper application. Follow the directions included in the application to fill it out and send in the completed form
- In Person
Visit healthcare.gov to find a list of places where you may meet with someone directly. You may also find a health insurance agent by going to the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and searching for a licensed agent or agency. Or, you may call Unity at 800.362.3310 and set up an appointment with a friendly and knowledgeable representative
