Biosimilars: Interchangeable Products May Increase Patient Access

Depending on state pharmacy laws, pharmacies might be able to substitute an interchangeable biosimilar product for the original product prescribed — just as they might substitute a generic drug for a brand-name one. This helps increase patient access to biologics and may reduce patient costs.
