Quartz Updates – Fall 2021
Goodbye Coupon Books, Hello Invoices
Quartz Medicare Advantage (HMO) members no longer have to keep track of a coupon book to make their payments. With 2022 coverage, members who choose to make direct payments will receive a monthly invoice approximately 15 days before their premium due date. They can pay the invoice by check, money order, bank account, or credit card. Or, they can avoid getting an invoice altogether by signing up auto-pay or a Social Security check deduction.
Go to MyPlanTools for Individual Renewals
To increase efficiency and improve the agent experience, new in 2022, you’ll be able to view your clients’ Individual PPACA renewal via MyPlanTools once available. Quartz will no longer send an email with renewals attached. Renewal notices will be sent to the portal in mid-October.
Out-of-Area Dependent Coverage
Dependents covered under the OOA Dependent Coverage Rider should contact Quartz Customer Service to request authorization for covered OOAD services. Previously, these calls were directed to Medical Management. Customer Service can now process authorization requests, improving our response time to member inquiries.
