Or they are so bad, you don’t feel up to making the trip. You also may be worried that you might spread your illness or pick up a bug from another sick person in the waiting room.
A video visit (also called a virtual visit) is the perfect option for many urgent care situations. Using technology similar to Skype or FaceTime, you can be seen by a medical professional face-to-face through your smartphone, tablet or computer equipped with a web camera. Depending on your medical concern, the provider can diagnose you, suggest follow-up care and prescribe medication when appropriate. Best of all, they are available to see you 24 hours a day, every day of the year! Follow these steps to get on the road to recovery.

1. Set up your electronic medical record |

| 3. Choose a provider | Log in and review the available providers, their experience and ratings. Choose the provider who best fits your needs. | |||
| 4. Start your visit | Video chat with your selected provider. Get a diagnosis, treatment plan and prescription (if needed) in about 20 to 25 minutes. | |||
| 5. Cost | The cost is $49 or less per visit, depending on your plan. You will be notified of any cost before you start your visit and you’ll have the option to stop or continue. | |||
