Holiday Stress Away
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Most of the time. Too much family and fun can be downright stressful, but you don’t have to let the hustle and bustle get the best of you. Here’s how to stress less this season.
- Get moving. If you start to feel your anxiety levels rise, get up and get moving. A brisk half-hour stroll can do wonders for you mind and body.
- Laugh out loud. A little bit of laughter can go a long way. It’s been proven to reduce stress hormones and help immune cells function better.
- Forget perfection. You can’t do it all, especially when there’s so much to do. Take it easy on yourself and try not to sweat the small stuff.
If you or someone you care about is struggling with stress, anxiety or depression, call Quartz Behavioral Health Care Management at (608) 640-4450 or toll-free at (800) 683-2300.
