February is American Heart Month where the focus is on raising awareness about heart disease being the leading cause of death for both women and men.

Go Red For Women® is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Cardiovascular diseases in the U.S. kill approximately one
woman every 80 seconds. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.

Go Red For Women® advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health. National Wear Red Day® is Friday, February 2, 2018. Everyone is encouraged to wear red by purchasing a red dress pin at Macy’s or by making a donation at CVS stores nationwide.

Even though hearts are the star of the show on February 14, we’ve created a calendar full of fun ways to include heart disease prevention into your daily life for the entire month.
