UW Health at The American Center is a unique new health and wellness facility on Madison’s east side. The campus offers inviting spaces for a varied menu of wellness, fitness and Sports Performance programs. The mission is to not only diagnose and treat you when you’re sick, but also to promote healthy living and partner with you in health and wellness.
UW Health Classes, Support and Seminars
A recent addition to the approved Unity health care centers list is the new UW Health at The American Center facility.
UW Health at The American Center offers a wide variety of classes to improve your
health and fitness, manage your health, provide support during troubling times
and advance your professional training.
Visit UWHealth.org/classes and search for just about any kind of health-related class
you can think of. You will find results for Pilates, diabetes, aquatics, mindfulness,
cooking, yoga, weight management, zumba and more.
Highlights include –
Aquatics – UW Health at The American Center features a variety of lane lap pools and water pools. These pools provide for a variety of programs including community exercise classes, physical therapy and sports performance. Look for Arthritis Aqua Exercise, Senior Aqua Exercise, Aqua Bootcamp, Masters Swim and more.
Learning Kitchen – The Learning Kitchen at The American Center offers hands-on,
health cooking classes for community and corporate groups. Participants will prepare two to four dishes during classes, and will take the leftovers home! Sign up for classes such as Thai Cuisine, Homemade Pizzas, Carb Smart Cooking, Power Nutrition for the Strength and Speed Enthusiast, Supper Club Night and more.
The Studio – The Studio at The American Center offers a wide range of fitness
classes that support a holistic approach to health and well-being. Classes promote a happy, healthy and fulfilling life through mindful-movement and exercise. Sign up for
fun and stimulating classes such as Morning Workout, QiGong, Pilates, Kripalu Yoga,
TRX Complete, Pilates and Strength and Flexibility.
